"Biscuits" and Gravy - Yes they are low carb!

Sometimes you just need some comfort food - I really had my doubts about these biscuits and gravy but was pleasantly surprised!

 Low Carb Biscuits

1 1/2 cups almond flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 T. baking powder
2 eggs
1/3 cups sour cream
4 T. butter (melted)
1/3 cups shredded cheese
1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1. Preheat your over to 400 degrees.
2. Spray your pan - (suggetion: use a brownie pan)
3. Combine all dry ingredients.
4. In a separate bowl combine the wet ingredients.
5. Once both are well combined mix them together, after it is well combined sprinkle in the cheese.
6. Scoop out the biscuits into your pan, I used an ice cream scoop for consistency.
7. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.




Sausage Gravy

1 lb. ground pork sausage
8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. white pepper
1/2 tsp. onion powder

1. Brown the sausage in large skillet until heated through, don't drain.
2. Add softened cream cheese and stir until melted or smooth.
3. Add liquids and seasoning and continue stirring, simmer for about 5 minutes.
 4. Enjoy over the biscuits above!
